Our family is attempting to travel to all 50 states through creative road trips. We prefer to choose a route which may have several destination stops throughout the trip. This often results in spending a short amount of time in one city. We love to get the flavor of the place that we are visiting by experiencing dining experiences, seeing a well-known icon from that area or simply experiencing the understated charm of that particular area.
Our Spring Break trip of 2024 resulted in a short stop in Asheville, North Carolina. I have outlined our must-sees in Asheville.

We started off by taking a picture by the "Love is Alive" mural. This mural can be found near the Spicer Greene Jewelers Building at the intersection of Otis Street and Wall Street.
After this, we walked through some of the shops on Wall Street. My youngest enjoyed trying on a stylish hat.

Next it was time for a quick dinner. We stopped at Asheville Brewing Company as it had been recommended to us. Great experience!
The highlight of the evening was a stop at Double D's Coffee and Desserts. I had visited in the past and was excited to take my girls to experience Double D's. It is a Doubledecker bus that serves amazing desserts, coffees and smoothies. Definitely a must when in Asheville!

After some treats, it was time to rest. We chose to stay at the Hampton Inn Asheville. We are always pleased with a stay at a Hampton Inn.
The next morning was Easter and we chose to spend it among the beauty of the Biltmore Estate. Admittedly, tickets to the Biltmore were more of a splurge purchase. However, we felt it was important to see this iconic landmark. My girls really enjoyed it! We had lunch at the Stable Cafe. The food was good and well-priced. It gave us another opportunity to experience the Biltmore. We also visited The Barn and Farmyard at Antler Hill. The animals were really fun to see and is a must-stop for children and adults alike!
Spring at the Biltmore is beautiful!
After our afternoon at the Biltmore, we were off to our next stop. We highly enjoyed our time in Asheville and hope to be back.
